Across the weekend, Edwards and his BC Performance teammate were locked in a fierce battle at the front of the SuperSport field, trading positions and consistently fighting for first and second place in every race.

Edwards delivered a standout performance by claiming victory in the prestigious Hughie Hoary Feature Race, finishing second in another race by less than a second behind his teammate, before closing out the weekend with a dominant win in the third and final race.

The results confirmed the competitiveness of the team’s 2026 package and provided valuable race mileage ahead of the ASBK season opener.

“For the first time on the bike, I was super happy to come away with good results and we made good progress throughout the weekend,” Edwards said.

“It’s given me a lot of confidence for the season ahead. I’m really enjoying working with my side of the bike and my crew chief Bryan Staring — he has a wealth of knowledge and it’s awesome to have the opportunity to work with him.”

With strong pace, race-winning form, and immediate chemistry within the team, the Victorian Road Championships proved to be an ideal launchpad for Edwards’ 2026 SuperSport Next Gen campaign.
